Spring Bear His Basketball: Lady Bears Suffer Loss Magnetic Bay Heartbreaking, 4140

Returned in the 2014-15 year basketball season home court game, the defending champion of the national 2A grade spring hilf bear hold magnetic Bay lady Panther last Thursday night spring hill stadium. The lady Panthers bear lady fierce fighting in hardwood competition and their history Thursday night wasn't any different.
The Lady Bears have taken victory over Magnet Cove for the last two years as the Lady Panthers looked for redemption this season. For a very intense, physical and aggressive match-up all game long, the Lady Panthers escaped with a 41-40 win over the Lady Bears, snapping their longtime home winning-streak at Spring Hill Gymnasium.
The Lady Bears fought very aggressive early as they held a slim five point lead at halftime 24-19 over the Lady Panthers. In the second half, the Lady Bears held a one point lead at the end of the third 33-32, but the Lady Panthers post nine key points down to the wire to ice their victory from the charity stripe. With 1:25 remaining in the game, the Lady Bears and the Lady Panthers were knotted 40-40.
The Lady Panthers nailed 1 of 2 at the free-throw with eight seconds left to play. The Lady Bears grabbed the missed free-throw from Magnet Cove and drove the ball across court looking to score, but a big scramble on the floor for a the loose ball caused a heartbreaking defeat for the Lady Bears as time ran out. The Lady Bears wasn't able to get a shot off in time before the final buzzer sounded and the Lady Panthers rejoiced to seek revenge from a years of losses to Spring Hill.
The Lady Bears took a 12-10 lead at the end of the first quarter, and scored 12 points in the second. Defensively, they held the Lady Panthers to nine points in the second quarter to lead all first three quarters of the game.
For the game, Lady Bears' Lacy Knox led the way with nine points, Lakyn Kidd, Sydney Orr and Kaitlyn Ward all scored eight points apiece. Julie Plant added four points and Bailey Yocom contributed three points.
The Lady Bears (2-2 overall), will regroup from their tough loss and return to the hardwood Tuesday December 2 to face Magnolia on the road after the Thanksgiving break.Source:hopestar.com
