Lady Aircraft Won Two Central Magnet Competition Two Times

Cumberland County high school basketball team ended their schedule, part of the game the weekend before christmas.
The Lady Jets improved to 11-2 with two victories in the Murfreesboro Central Magnet Christmas Tournament, while the Jets mark went to 4-9, as the split a pair of games in a tournament in Fannin County, Georgia.
Lady Jets 105, Kingwood, AL 56: Every Lady Jet scored at least two points in the victory Friday night at Central Magnet.
According to the Tennessean, the leading scorers were Gina Dick (10), Victoria Lee (5), Skylar VanWinkle (3), Madison McLaughlin (3), Kelsie Eldridge (6), Alli Hyder (9), Makenzie Iles (22), Destiny Carlton (15), Klaire Varney (17), Sydney Clark (1), Lindsey Norrod (7) and Hannah Brown (7).
CCHS 69, Central Magnet 57: The Lady Jets jumped out to a 24-17 first-quarter lead and stretched the lead to 46-38 at the break. After both teams scored 10 markers in the third quarter, CCHS outscored their hosts 13-9 to post their 11th victory of the season.
Leading scorers for CCHS were Carlton (17), Dick (3), Eldridge (10), Hyder (7), Iles (24) and Lee (8).
Schedule: The Lady Jets return to the court Dec. 29 at 3 p.m. against Central Park Christian, AL, in the opening game of the Hogeye Invitational at Livingston Academy High School. They will either face Brentwood Academy or Cleveland Tuesday at either 3 p.m. in the consolation bracket or at 6 p.m. in the tournament semi-finals. The tournament concludes Dec. 31 beginning at 9:30 a.m. with the seventh-place game.
The Lady Jets will travel to York Institute on Jan. 3, before hosting Clarkrange in a rematch Jan. 6. District 6AAA play resumes Jan. 9 against  Rhea County.
Fannin County Tournament: The Jets lost to Landmark Christian 108-67 Friday night in the opening round of the tournament, but rebounded Saturday for a 58-30 victory over Hiwassee Dam, NC. The Jets (4-9) concluded play Monday, before traveling to Pigeon Forge for a tournament Dec. 26-27.
The Jets will travel to York Institute Jan. 3 and host Clarkrange Jan. 6, before resuming District 6AAA play Jan. 9 against Rhea
